What are your hours?
We open at 6:30 am and we close at 6:00 pm
What's your holiday schedule?
The center will be closed on the following days each year; New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, the day after Christmas and New Years Eve Day.
On what days are you closed?
We try to stay open, even when the weather is bad. We try to only close on the holidays mentioned. Sometimes we will close for all staff training, we will give you notice before this date occurs.
Is there a late pick up fee?
Yes.
Do I pay when my child is ill or we're on vacation?
Yes, you are responsible for paying for care if your child is ill or you are on vacation.
How and when would you bill us?
Tuition is due every Monday at drop off. You will receive a receipt on the last day of every month.
Do you supply formula and baby food?
Yes, we supply Target brand formula. We do not supply baby food, bibs or diapers.
Do you encourage visits from parents?
Yes, parents are welcome to visit at any time
How do you communicate with parents?
We will give you a daily report when you pick up your child to let you know what they did and to also notate naps, bottles, BM's etc.
Do you have any assistants or substitutes?
Yes, if a teacher is absent we do hire substitutes. They have completed a background check, and have been through First Aid/CPR certification, they also have completed continuing education.
Do you have an outdoor play area?
Yes, effective summer 2010 we are erecting a playground.
Do you allow smoking in or around the center?
No, we adhere to Iowa's Smoke Free Air Act.
What is your release policy?
You must provide us with the name of each person who is authorized to pick up your child. You must notify us beforehand if an unauthorized person will be coming to drop off or pick up your child. I will ask that they provide us with a photo id.
Do you have a preschool program?
Yes, our curriculum mirrors the creative learning philosophy.
What ages do you provide care for?
We provide care for children from ages 4 weeks to 12 years old.
Do you provide before and after school care?
Yes! The name of our after school program is The Impact Zone. Our Director, Cory Jenkins, picks up from select elementary schools.
